Charaka Gunasekara hails from Kurunegala the NWP of Sri Lanka. He comes from line of Ayurvedic Physicians who have ancestral roots as for as the ancient Sinhalese Kingdom of Kurunegala in well known Ayurvdic family. He is himself in Ayurveda he is develop and introduce to Ayurveda centers and work as a consultant of Hotel trade in Sri Lanka with a strong interest in Ayurveda and introduce to leading resorts hotels (Conniasan Hotels-now Amaya Resorts, Serandib Lecture Hotles, John Keells Hotels-now Cinnamon and Chaaya Resorts) in the island and he is in the panel at Ayurvedic advisers to former president of Sri Lanka Madam Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaranathunga.
